Dr Liu Thai Ker

Dr Liu Thai Ker is known as the Father of Urban Planning in Singapore, an attribute inseparable from his 23 years of significant contributions to Singapore as a civil servant.
Dr Liu served as Chief Architect and later CEO in the Housing and Development Board for 20 years and during his tenure he was involved in the planning, design, and implementation of public housing in Singapore which was instrumental in delivering Singapore Government’s "Home Ownership for All" policy.
From 1989 to 1992, Dr Liu served as the Chief Planner and CEO of the Urban Redevelopment Authority where he led the planning of the Singapore’s 1991 Concept Plan. The Plan was recognised at home and abroad, as a set of forward-looking and practical development blueprints with planning strategies that would guide Singapore towards becoming a modern city of excellence.
After leaving the civil service, Dr Liu served as a Senior Director in RSP Architects, Planners & Engineers from 1992 to 2017. In 2017, he founded Morrow Architects & Planners and serves as the Chairman.
Dr Liu has completed 18 architectural projects in Singapore. Internationally, he has completed 15 architectural and 109 urban planning and urban design projects in more than 60 cities. The scale of urban planning projects range in population sizes from tens of thousands to more than 10 million.

Subharthi Guha is Architect and Urban Planner, with an experience of design across 25 countries and over 50 projects with a skillset of winning competitions, developing concepts and construction of highly creative work.
Having worked alongside architect Charles Correa on numerous international buildings, masterplan and rural re-development projects, he joined Zaha Hadid Architects, London in 2010, expanding his repertoire of built projects. Working at ZHA for the past 13 years, his experience range across all sectors including high end residential, commercial, infrastructure, housing and retail.
He founded the award winning studio conceptSG Ltd in 2006 which works on avant-garde buildings and new growth models of city planning across the globe. All of the works on Architecture and City planning strategies have been awarded and widely published whilst some have been adopted as part of Urban advisory boards in India and the Uk.
He is an Honorary Professor at XJTLU, Suzhou and has taught and lectured worldwide in institutes such as the Architectural Association London, TU Delft, Netherlands, Washington State University, Univ. of Maryland, Savannah College of Art & Design, New School San Diego, Univerth of Maryland, CEPT Ahmedabad, XJLTU China, Sharda University and School of Planning and Architecture Delhi/ Vijaywada.
