MS. ANDREA KUHN
Consul-General of South Africa
On 17 December 2019, Andrea Kühn assumed her position as the Consul-General of South Africa in Mumbai with the consular districts of Maharashtra, Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, Kerala, Goa, Gujarat and Andhra Pradesh.
Prior to her deployment to India she was the Director for South and Central Asia. Previous assignments abroad include the South African Consulate General in New York, USA and the South African Embassy in Berlin, Germany. Ms Kuhn graduated in 1989 from University of Pretoria in South Africa with a law degree (BLC-LLB).
She joined the South African diplomatic service in February 1991. Ms Kuhn served in various capacities in the Department of International Relations and Cooperation including the Private Secretary to the Deputy Minister of International Relations and Cooperation from 1998-2008.
Mr. Martin Maier
Consulate General of Switzerland in Mumbai
Martin Maier was born on 8 May 1965. He is a Swiss national with citizenship of Solothurn. He grew up in Switzerland, where he finished his
education and obtained a Diploma in Advanced Studies of International Relations. He is married and father of an adult daughter.
Martin Maier joined the Federal Department of Foreign Affairs in 1991 and was subsequently posted to Spain, Libya, Thailand, Portugal, Ecuador, Zimbabwe and Germany. Prior to his current assignment as Consul General of Switzerland in Mumbai, he has served in Switzerland as Deputy Head of Economic Affairs at the Federal Department of Foreign Affairs, Head of Foreign Interests in the Islamic Republic of Iran and Consul General in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam.
Mrs. Diedrah Kelly
Consul General of Canada in Mumbai
Diedrah Kelly (BA Hons [Political Science and Central, Eastern European and Russian Area Studies], Carleton University, 2001), joined the Department of Foreign Affairs and International Trade in 2001. In Ottawa, she has worked as head of the Policy and Programming Unit in the Threat Assessment and
Intelligence Services Division, as senior nuclear adviser and program manager in the Global Partnership Program and as chief of staff to the assistant deputy minister for international security and global affairs. She has served abroad in various positions, including, from 2004 to 2007, consul and political counsellor at the Embassy to Bosnia and Herzegovina and, from 2007 to 2010, as head of the embassy office in Astana. From 2011 to 2014, she was the political counsellor at the High Commission in Ghana. Ms. Kelly served as the Ambassador of Canada to the Association of Southeast Asian Nations between 2018-2021.
